Surry Hills Festival!

Surry Hills Festival is soon approaching!! The weekend event is entry by donation and supports loads and loads of independent businesses in Sydney. Its a fun day outside in one of the best suburbs in this city, promoting great food, fun and entertainment. You can volunteer to help out if you're feeling generous, otherwise get on down with some spare cash to donate and help keep our businesses thriving!

Wondering Where to Eat Sydney? Corridor in Newtown!

I love Corridor for many reasons; its owned by the loveliest couple who have grown up in and around the suburb, its quality food and drink for great prices and the atmosphere is general "no wank", which means no attitude, no bad vibes - just happy friendly people in a small space.

The owners Tessa and Mike have just welcomed baby Jack into their family, and have their hands full rearing a child- but they always find time to pop into the bar and check in on their other family; the staff and customers.

The chefs only use fresh produce from local boutique suppliers, top of the range alcohols and offer a selection of $10 cocktails that vary from day to day. So head on into the Corridor next time you're around King St and let them recommend a drink...or two!

I've been preaching about the Night Noodle Markets that are currently taking place in Hyde Park in the center of our beautiful city. Its the prefect time to enjoy the city while also supporting small and independent Asian culinary chefs and restaurants in Sydney and some international guests.

Seriously... listen to me... no...you're no listening! LISTEN!

thank you... Luxe is THE most amazing cafe. The coffee is spot on, the food is french patisserie. The waitresses and the manager (who makes the coffee also) are the nicest, and funniest and loveliest!

They are next door to the original Campos Coffee spot BUT do not be tempted to go for what you know... LUXE will not disappoint!

Porteno in Surry Hills!

This incredible restaurant was started by a husband and wife and their close friend who have a passion for 50's styling and Argentinean cooking! 

The place isn't only pleasing to the palette its also easy on the eye with an array of well dressed, good looking employees! Chefs Ben and Elvis were just named The Sydney Morning Herald's Chefs of the Year... so get down there before the line gets any longer!

Yesterday (sorry for the late post) we kicked off the '14 Treasured Eateries in 14 Days' list with the brilliant Surry Hills/Redfern cafe

They are known for their friendly atmosphere, incredible (and well priced!) food and a mean Campos coffee!
